Baldev Bedi has over 30 years of experience building and managing businesses in the recruitment and IT industries. Driven to ensure all clients and candidates experience the highest quality service, Baldev is committed to understanding client needs and providing collaborative, innovative and reliable solutions to meet those needs.

Beyond excellence in IT recruitment, Baldev is passionate about giving back to the community. The driving force behind Bridge IT’s philanthropic growth, including the ANU Bridge ADA Lovelace Award, Baldev believes it is for all of us to give back where we can.

Director and Founder

Ravi Vasudevan founded BridgeIT (then known as Bridge IT Engineering) to provide a different kind of recruitment specialist. With over 25 years of experience providing specialist ICT consultancy services to public and private sector clients, Ravi envisioned a client-focused organisation with outstanding customer support.

No longer involved in the day-to-day recruitment side of Bridge IT, Ravi’s vision and ongoing strategic direction continue to guide Bridge IT today.

Manager – Recruitment and Operations

Brendan is a technology recruitment specialist with experience supporting the Australian Federal Government and other private companies. He is recognised for his meticulous eye for detail and his commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for both clients and candidates.

Brendan prides himself on building honest, long-term relationships, ensuring every engagement is transparent, professional, and tailored to the unique needs of government teams and technology partners. He works across all facets of IT, helping organisations assemble high-performing teams for mission-critical initiatives.

Based in Canberra, Brendan combines deep market knowledge with a client-focused approach, ensuring the right talent is placed in the right role — every time.

Account Manager

Mariam Karay is a proactive and well-connected IT recruitment consultant known for quickly building rapport with candidates and clients. Mariam has always had a passion for recruitment and Human Resources and gains great satisfaction from finding the right person for a role.

Within the team, Mariam is known for consistently initiating process development, creating user manuals, and helping guide new members.

Haitham Hamid joined Bridge IT for its values, which he exemplifies daily as a recruitment consultant. Haitham’s candidates and clients appreciate his conversational, open, and honest style and desire to ‘find the right role for you, rather than sell you the role I have’.

Outside of work, Haitham enjoys mentoring and supporting new entrants to the field, sharing his recruitment experience so that others may begin their careers.

Having worked in agency and internal recruitment settings, Smitha has a deep understanding of her client’s needs and a passion for really getting to know her candidates.

With Bridge IT since 2018, Smitha has a sound practical understanding of IT industry demands and enjoys working across all levels of recruitment.

Sathi Ambekkat is an IT recruitment consultant with extensive end-to-end experience globally and within Australia. Currently specialising in sourcing, screening, and recruiting IT recruitment professionals in contractor and permanent placement fields.

With Bridge IT since 2018, Sathi also brings a practical understanding of the field, having studied Electronics and Communications Engineering.
